In this blog I wanted to discuss audience and how audience relates to my second project. When writing a paper you should always consider what audience you want to target. For my project, I am focusing on NPC bikini competitions and women bodybuilders. Naturally I am going to attract an audience that is interested in bodybuilding, but by talking about the history of NPC bikini competitions, I am hoping to educate people that are not familiar with the bodybuilding community. Bodybuilding is a very intricate sport and contains many components that most people don’t consider. For example, I am training for an NPC competition currently, and I follow a strict nutrition plan, weigh and track all of my food, weightlift for 1-2 hours 6 days a week, and have 4 cardio sessions a week. I am also taking a look at how social media affects bodybuilders, so my project will also appeal to women who struggle with body image. I am going to be sure to explain the background and basic information of bodybuilding for beginners, but I am also going to include the intricate details for people who are more advanced and involved in the sport.
